Here’s why it’s so important to give back.

I remember sitting back in school at chiropractic college, and I remember that we listened carefully to our faculty.

We listened to what they had to say, and some were awesome. Some taught us amazing skills. Some gave us some of the things we needed to succeed as doctors and as chiropractors.

Others didn’t teach us a whole lot, but there were very few doctors willing to reach out and just give knowledge to students, just to give knowledge to us because we’re the new generation coming up.

They didn’t want to share their knowledge just to share it, and they didn’t want to empower the generation coming after them.

It was almost like they were trying to hold everything close to their chest and not let you in. And they didn’t want to give you this secret. They didn’t want to give you the magic bullet, the silver bullet.

It really felt like they really didn’t want to help you succeed. That’s a problem.

It’s actually a huge problem, and I think it’s one that’s not fair to any of us. I don’t think that’s any fair to us as students. I don’t think that’s fair to us as chiropractors. I don’t think that’s fair to us as members of the new generation wanting to care for others and make a meaningful, positive difference.

And that’s why I’m here for you. I don’t want that to ever happen to you as students and learners. I don’t want that to happen to you, period.

I’m Dr. Skip for the Prime Pediatric Program, and I believe that just need to give back. Knowledge should not be a secret. It’s my mission to give back to you and share what I know in every way I can, and I’ll never stop doing that.
